Sculptuur Instituut Wins Gijselaar Hintzen Prize

On Sunday, the 12th of November 2017,  Jan Teeuwisse received the distinguished Gijselaar Hintzen prize. This prize stimulates and honours the work of an art historian who intends to spread and popularize art historical knowledge to a greater audience. Jan Teeuwisse, as a professor at Leiden University, and as the founder and director of the Sculptuur Instituut in museum Beelden aan Zee, has been instrumental in getting modern sculpture and modern sculpture research a more prominent role in art history.

The VNK (association of Dutch art historians) and the Gijzelaar Hintzen fund have hand out this prize once per 2 or 3 years.
